Memorial Day Weekend

What a fun weekend us Bburns had! Here's the low-down: Saturday we pulled out the camping gear from storage..hadn't seen that stuff in quite a while..and loaded up the truck. And when I say loaded..I sincerely mean it, because we had stuff in every possible place in there! Kinda ridiculous when you're only going away for 1 night!! We had to be comfortable though and bring our mattress topper, ha! Do you think I'm joking? Nope. Not a joke. Charlie has a bad back so that was a must take for him. We camped at Huzzah Valley and had a wonderful time. The best part was that we went with my 3 brothers and their families. How cool is that? For me, pretty cool. I haven't been camping with my brothers since probably 1994 if I had to guess. The kids were in heaven hanging out with so many cousins, and us adults had a fun time chattin it up around the campfire too. We loaded up the next day and were home by 2:30..just in time to clean up and put away all the camp stuff before bed...seriously it takes forever to pack for camping and forever to put all the crap away when you're done! Everyone was exhausted though so we went to bed early.

The next day we went for a bike ride with mom and dad and Ben & Cammie's family which was wonderful! It's been quite a while since I've ridden a bike outdoors and Memorial Day was a great day to be outdoors. Summer was in the air! It was great! Quite a workout for me as well, I think Ben said we rode about 13 miles? Sounds about right. Later that day we hosted a family dinner and the whole MO family minus Mir and Marc came over. Mom and dad provided all the food (so nice huh!) and we had a blast in the backyard just chatting and playing washers and eating..fun stuff.
Unfortunately not many pics were taken, but here's proof of our camping trip...no judging! We're not supposed to worry about our looks when we're camping right?
