We had a blast with a carnival themed birthday party for Liberty this year. We ended up just doing it in our back yard..set up some tables and makeshift props for games. It was from 12-2 in the afternoon on a Thursday. Momo and Papa Blackburn were helping Charlie’s sister and brother-in-law (Heather and Paul) with their move across country (NH to NV) and we were lucky to get to host them for a few nights during their move. So it was fun to have 2 more cousins, an aunt and uncle and another set of grandparents in town for the celebration. With just our family we had 28 people, a party in and of itself. Libby did want to invite a few of her closest friends bringing the tally up to 34..wow! Thank you Emily for being our photographer for this..what a huge help! Here are some photos of what we did:
Quin and Trey playing the ‘Ball in a Bucket’ game and ‘pull a lollipop’. Cousin Zack helped run these games.
This sweet young man, Braxton, against the wall is one of the boys from church that Charlie teaches. He does balloon animals/parties as a side job..so we hired him to come and do this for the party..it was a hit!
Papa was in charge of the ‘Dart Throw’
Becky helped with the ‘Pick a Duck’ game
Momo was the artist for ‘Face Painting’
Cammie headed up the ‘Top Toss’ game
Briggs was the winner of the ‘Guess how many gumballs?’ game (it was 270). He was so excited!!
Uncle Paul grilled up the hot dogs for everyone
Lunch time! Hot dogs, chips and pink lemonade.
As you can see…I needed and had A LOT of help to pull this party off. Thanks to everyone who helped and came, it was a blast!
